Freedom in Christ - Children according to the promise - JOY

I just read Galations. Such a good message about freedom in Christ! We are children according to the promise given to Abraham even BEFORE the law was given so we are justified by faith alone. We are not children of Hagar, the bondwoman. The law is not the way to salvation. When people put the law before grace and the promise given to Abraham, then we forget and nullify the grace we received through Jesus sacrifice on the cross, His death and ressurection. Jesus Christ being the Hope of Glory of every promise given by God and spoken through the prophets of old. 

The law (being a mirror) shows us that we have sinned and are in need of a Saviour so we are saved through faith by grace alone, not works. The commandments are holy, righteouss and good (romans 7:12) and His commandments are not burdensome (1 John 5:3) but they can become burdensome if people begin to feel they can please God by doing all sorts of things for Him, and then proudness can start to set in... No one can be justified by the law. If you break one of the commandments, you break them all! Therefore, we need grace. This grace helps us to love God by keeping His commandments and they are not burdensome. Not the other way around.

We have freedom and authority in Christ who sits at the right hand of God. For me personally this means that I am so glad that the Holy Spirit teaches me that I should not put a pricetag on myself because there is no price Yeshua did not pay. He helps me to renew my mind daily. 

In regard to the law, some may think I am legalistic because I go worship God on the seventh day sabbath (hebrews 4) but I know this is not because of legalism. I do it because I came to know Christ (He loved me first), being the only way to salvation. He is the Lord of the sabbath and His commandments are not burdensome. It is a delight to enter in His rest. I am free in Him and there are people who love God and want to follow Him in every denomination, whether being protestant, catholic, evangelical, messianic, etcetera. However, on my website I do warn against the commandments of God being changed by the Roman Catholic Church and to come out of Babylon and manmade traditions!

Also, in the letter to the galations Paul warns for people who infiltrate, preaching a different gospel, saying people need circumcision of the flesh. When we TURN the gospel upside down, that's when people are going to feel the pressure of being under the law. Paul warns agains those Judaizers bringing Christians back under the laws of Moses. This is the OLD COVENANT which is He has made obsolete; and that which is growing old and aging is near vanishing away (Hebrews 8:13).

The New Covenant is written on hearts of flesh by the power of the Holy Spirit. This does not mean that the ten commandments are not important. They are!!, but they are not written on a heart of stone any longer. In jeremiah, Ezekiel and Hebrews God promised that He would make a New Covenant and He changes not.

THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAYS THE LORD: I WILL PUT MY LAWS INTO THEIR MINDS, AND I WILL WRITE THEM ON THEIR HEARTS. AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE. Hebrews 8:10

I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh- all the glory and honour belongs to our God, forever amen.

Last thursday I had lunch with a couple that both love Israël. After lunch we read the Bible and prayed. After all, a couple that prays together, stays together :-). But that's a sidenote. What I want to share in this message is the bibleverses we read:

The Lord Will Pour Out His Spirit

28 [e] “And it shall come to pass afterward,
    that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh;
your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
    your old men shall dream dreams,
    and your young men shall see visions.
29 Even on the male and female servants
    in those days I will pour out my Spirit.

After this biblereading I went home and what then really caught my attention were two messages I received in a 24 hour timeframe. One was from watchman of the sword and the other one was from Fathers Heart Ministry, a ministry I partnered with by doing a prophetic gifting course for beginners. I like to reshare both. You are free to come to your own conclusions. The best thing to do though (I believe) is bring it to God. His Holy Spirit will lead us into all truth.

And a prophetic word from Fathers Heart Ministries I received on the first of July.

The Father says today that the despising of man will not prevent that which I am doing in the earth. The line of demarcation has been reached. The stones erected that have been hewn out by man are being cast down, and I am raising up stones that have not the mark of man upon them but the mark of My hand and My Spirit. Know this, that upon the altar of your life I am pouring out My Spirit. Upon the altar of a heart laid bare, upon the altar, I am making Myself known in the fresh oil of My outpouring. Come yielding and pliable before Me for this is a day that My truth is being made known, that the hearts of man - even those in deep darkness, may run into the tower of My name and be safe from the overflowing scourge of the enemy's hand against the earth.

Whole cities will come to the foot of the cross. Mayors and city councilmen will weep in repentance on the steps of city hall. Judges will take off the robes of their service and bow their heads before the Judge of the whole earth. Where there has been hate and bitterness and opinion there will be brotherhood and sacrificial love. There will be gatherings so large and so quickly that no existing venue will be able to hold the crowds. The spontaneity of My outpouring will be swift and overwhelming. Police forces will respond with riot gear and tear gas only to arrive and witness My glory as bitter enemies embrace each other in the streets that once ran red with the blood of conflict. Change is at hand says the Father. I am bringing about a new thing in the earth. Make ready for you are ordained to have a part and a portion as you fulfill the calling I have placed upon your life.

At the Cross

Today I woke up with the lyrics "at the cross, at the cross, I surrender my life.." I did not remember the entire song but it did remember me of the words Jesus spoke about taking up the cross:

And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.

May He teach us to be death to self and live in Him on a daily basis. This seems hard but I remember the words of wisdom written by Amy Charmichael:

If I covet any place on earth but the dust at the foot of the Cross, then I
know nothing of Calvary love.
